Respected Actress Goes from Guinan to Grating on The View

The year was 1988, and for Star Trek: The Next Generation fans, the 27th episode, The Child, revealed an interesting new character with a strong real-word pedigree. To have a well-known and respected actress such as Whoopi Goldberg join the cast of the new hit Star Trek series signified that this successful new enterprise had warped out of obscure geekdom and into mainstream media. The view from Ten-Forward was magnificent as Guinan tended bar, her mysterious character background to be revealed slowly over several episodes. Sadly, it won’t be Whoopi’s acting that will be her legacy, but rather her participation in the hateful daytime talk show titled, The View.

From Respect to Repulsive

This famed EGOT actress, once very respective by boomers everywhere for her variety of interesting rolls in media has been co-hosting the view since 2007. Sadly, Whoopi has joined the lunatic liberal left and has found a willing platform to spew her thoughts publicly on The View.

She recently made the news for lying about negative treatment she received from a bakery, a refusal of service apparently, because she perceived they did not like her politics. Of course if she had bothered to think and listen instead of projecting her hate first, she would have learned that the bakery had issues that stemmed from mechanical problems with their boilers, which were built in 1930. She then used The View to push her agenda, giving a small business no chance against the liberal left media.

A Republican Victory is sweet salve to the wounds The View inflicts

An Alternative to The View

Fortunately, Fox News picked up the story and the bakery was overwhelmed with positive feedback, and a surge of business and orders. Fox’s shows like The Five are a nice foil and counter to The View. Differing opinions are a good thing, don’t get me wrong, but shows like The View that have gone off the depend don’t seem to offer anything of value, and I hate to think that the folks watching it actually believe their rhetoric and their lies. Yes…the Right can go a little askew at times and probably poke fun at the Left a bit more than they should. But when so many of those views make absolutely no sense, they need to be called out.

Freedom of Choice – Thank You America

Fortunately, we live in a country that, for now, still offers a freedom of choice. For every Whoopi there is a James Woods or a John Rich. It just feels a bit sad when someone that was so admired is so caustic. That my friends is my Boomer Opinion on The View!
