Sanctuary Cities Should Be as Illegal as the Immigrants They Hide

If you have bought into the lie that sanctuary cities are a good thing, you’re a moron. Unless of course you believe that taxpaying Americans should foot the bill for the needs of millions of illegal immigrants? Then…you’re still a moron, but at least you are honest. Perhaps you too are an illegal immigrant and aren’t even paying taxes. Then of course you’d want your family, friends, gang members, sex traffickers, and drug pushers to join you. For the rest of us that see 30% of our income consumed by a corrupt government pouring our money into an endless pit of illegal immigrant care, we know that sanctuary cities must go.

What are Sanctuary Cities?

Sanctuary cities hide illegal immigrants, by choice, generally supported by a Mayor and city council. The definition provided by Global Refuge, a site that seems to be pro-immigration but also has some really good information, is as follows: “In general, a sanctuary city is a community with a policy, written or unwritten, that discourages local law enforcement from reporting the immigration status of individuals unless it involves investigation of a serious crime.”

By their definition, an illegal immigrant should be able to hide out, tax free, latched to the teat of our government, unless they have committed a “serious crime”. Frankly, living off of MY tax dollars IS a serious crime…but I digress. If you read that definition again, you’ll notice that it implies that local law enforcement conceal information from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Wikipedia defines it a little more clearly for what it really is: “A sanctuary city is a municipality that limits or denies its cooperation with the national government in enforcing immigration law.”

Sometimes these sanctuary cities can exist in a more conservative state, but by and large they exist in left-leaning, Democratic states, often designated as Sanctuary States. Kudos to New York City Mayor Eric Adams who has seemingly grown a conscience or figured out what a disaster sanctuary cities are and is talking about the problems and the trouble it has brought New York. He may soon be in a battle with his own state governor.

What Are Sanctuary States?

Sanctuary states, led by their liberal, left, lunatic governors…are states that have declared “their entire geographical location as a sanctuary” to be a safe haven for illegal immigrants. As you might guess, these liberal states care more about illegal immigrants than they do their own residents. Left-coast residents of states like California, Oregon, & Washington are all paying for the freedom that their illegal immigrants enjoy.

They are not alone of course, Illinois, Colorado, New Mexico are donating their resident’s hard earn money to support illegal immigrants as well. No graft conversation would be complete without including New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Vermont…all leaning so far left then can only see your open wallet, not the open border and the trouble it causes.

Federal Funding

Just because you don’t live in those states does not mean your hard-earned income isn’t supporting them. Hundreds of millions of dollars of federal money is being sent to these states. So even if you didn’t vote for, don’t support, and don’t live in a sanctuary state…you are still paying for it.

Why Sanctuary Cities Must End

Sanctuary cities must end for a few reasons. The majority of Americans are against illegal immigration, and don’t wish to keep funding their illegal residency in this country. Sanctuary cities give an illegal immigrant a safe place to go, if (when) they manage to get over the border. Take away those safe spaces, and the only place to go is jail, or back to their own country.

Obviously, sanctuary cities are more dangerous as well. Gangs, drug dealers, and desperate illegal immigrants will do anything to survive. If they can’t get a legal job due to their immigration status, they turn to illegal ones. Once the word gets out that a state will take you in and provide for you with government programs, those areas are then quickly overrun by illegal immigrants. They overwhelm the local police, the local economy, and the local hospital system…driving that city into the ground.

You can spare me the BS about keeping families together too. If you are in this country illegally, then you pay the price. You are welcome to take your family back with you…no one is forcing them to stay either. If we end this birthright citizenship crap, that solves that problem as well.

Can This Evil Be Stopped?

Whether or not we can end these sanctuary havens is unknown. Hopefully they can be mitigated heavily by the work Trump and Tom Homan are looking to do. Some of the responsibility is on the residents of these cities and states that allow this nonsense. If you live in California and you are dumb enough to vote for Gavin Newscum again, then you’re an idiot and deserve to pay for those illegal immigrants in your state.

I obviously don’t agree with a lot of what California votes on. While I think laws like P65 are a little crazy and some of green agenda stuff pushed in that state is nonsense, I respect the desire to keep the Golden State as pristine as possible. Why in the world then, are you letting it get run over by illegal immigrants and turning once-coveted destinations like LA and San Francisco into rundown slums? Sanctuary cities are bad for everyone…even you folks on the far left!

There Is Still Hope

I don’t know what lies or rhetoric you are believing, but while you are protesting Trump and and supporting the left lunacy, your sanctuary cities, and your state, are going down the toilet. Shame on you for allowing it. There may be hope for you yet however, as most Californians recently passed Proposition 36. Amazing how a people can go from wanting to defund the police to wanting tougher punishments on crime.

Perhaps if sadly misinformed and gullible Americans hadn’t bought into the lunatic liberal left’s complete baloney about defunding the police in the first place, some of these places wouldn’t be in the mess they are in now.

Yes, sanctuary cities must end. The borders must be closed, and illegal immigrants should be deported. Federal funding for sanctuary efforts must end, and horrible mayors and governors voted out or put in jail. That folks, is my Boomer Opinion!
